From Saturday, May 23, the Moscow Region authorities will cancel the digital branding regime introduced as part of the restrictions in light of the fight against coronavirus. The governor of the Moscow region Andrei Vorobyov posted this on his Instagram.
“As of tomorrow, electronic passports are no longer needed in the suburbs. If you are going to Moscow, the already issued passports are valid until May 27, and for new trips from Tuesday, you must apply for mos.ru. In the capital, population density is different, so the measure is still there, ”Vorobyov stressed.
Earlier, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced changes to the permit issuing procedure to move around the city as part of the first step to mitigate restrictive measures. So as of May 27, only Moscow's digital passports are valid for driving in the capital. Draw them residents of other regions can now. According to Sobyanin, such a decision was made to simplify and create a single-channel system.
Remember that from April 15, residents of Moscow and the Moscow region must travel by personal or public transport to issue a special digital passport. It is a special 16-digit code that consists of numbers and letters. No cars are allowed without it. For violation there is a fine of 5 thousand rubles.
